The PRESTAN Female Manikin was developed with contribution from the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council, CPR/AED training instructors, and healthcare professionals to help
tackle this issue head-on by:
- Improving CPR Survival Rates in Women: Instructors can better prepare students to confidently perform CPR on women by providing a realistic female manikin in training.
- Encouraging Critical Dialogue: This manikin will serve as a conversation starter, helping to break down the misconceptions and fears that sometimes prevent effective CPR on women.
- Eliminating Gender Bias in CPR Training: It’s essential that CPR training be inclusive, and this manikin is a key part of that effort.
